Before I did the Diageo Learning for Life course I was on universal credit, applying for jobs each and every day with no success. Now, I’ve progressed worldwide and it’s also built my character up so much that I’m proud to be me. While doing the course, I enjoyed the mixology and drinks session and this paid off. I’ve obtained a supervisor role and aim to be a manager of my own bar one day soon. The Diageo Learning for Life employability programme helped me massively by arming with the knowledge I need to succeed in this industry, and giving me confidence.

Ryan has also won the Fiona Colley award and has been an amazing Diageo Learning for Life ambassador – speaking to other groups over the years.
