The 2022-23 financial year was one of the most active in Springboard’s history as we delivered our mission to futureproof the talent pipeline for hospitality and tourism. The below impact report shows that over the past 12 months we:
- Engaged 45,240 pupils through our careers & education programmes, across 661 schools, colleges and universities.
- Trained 3,357 young and disadvantaged people through our employability programmes, helping give them soft skills, building their confidence, hospitality-related training, one-to-one mentoring and coaching and support finding a job.
- 73% of these trainees were supported into hospitality jobs, and 74% of our trainees stay in their roles for more than 12 months.
- And we supported 161,572 people with specialist careers information guidance, promoting the hospitality, leisure and tourism industry as a great place to work. This included 109,785 users of the CareerScope hospitality careers hub, supported by 2,152 industry ambassadors.
- This helped support 10,384 young people into careers in hospitality through Springboard to 2022 over the past two years.
