Springboard Programme: Summer School

These two weeks of training have been both an amazing experience and a great opportunity. I came into this program not knowing what I would get out of it and not only have I met a wonderful group of people but I have made great friends.

The first week (training week) was more of a team building and confidence building course. Although when it first started I was sceptical about how this would help me, I have now realised that this has boosted my confidence more than I ever expected it to.

The second week (work placement week) showed me the different aspects of hospitality, some I didn’t even know were classed as a job in hospitality. The people I was working with made me feel completely comfortable in the work environment. I learnt so much about the industry and was given multiple different jobs, which also helped to broaden my knowledge.

Overall I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome and I am so grateful to everyone at springboard for making this such an amazing experience!
