I completed the three week Barclays Connect with Work – Springboard Digital Hospitality course in September 2020. The training modules were exceptionally informative and enjoyable to complete and the webinars were delivered by such inspiring industry professionals.

Despite having 2 college degrees and previous work experience, I had been unsuccessful in securing a job for over 2 years. As a single mother I was eager to re-join the workforce and not feeling particularly confident about finding suitable employment. However, after taking part in webinars on topics such as CV Writing, Transferable Skills and Interview Skills, I felt motivated and confident.

I applied for a job in a four star hotel and received an invitation to interview for a receptionist position. Having been trained so well on the hospitality sector, I was excited to have gotten an interview but after being out of the workforce for a number of years, I felt apprehensive and immediately called my Programme Manager, Tracey, as she had been an immense support throughout the 3 weeks and always so kind, reassuring and approachable. Tracey was an invaluable help to me before my interview and made me feel more confident and able than I could have imagined possible. The interview went well, and Tracey provided me with a fantastic reference. I was offered the job later that week.

I am profoundly grateful to Springboard for the training I received and level of excellence with which it was delivered.
The Programme Manager was an incredible help in all aspects of the course. I feel truly blessed to have had this unparalleled support, which has not only helped my confidence, but has helped me finally secure employment.
