For 30 years, The Springboard Charity has been working with the hospitality industry to help young people get started on their career, for example our FutureChef programme in schools now engages 16,000 young people every year. In addition, we are currently supporting nearly 2,000 people from challenging backgrounds, through our award-winning, training and mentoring schemes, preparing them for work in our industry.

The COVID-19 crisis means that the workload for Springboard over the coming months will increase hugely and those young and disadvantaged people, and indeed the industry, will need our support more than ever before. However, as you know, the industry has been severely impacted, which in turn will dramatically reduce Springboard’s income. We are launching a special Patrons Appeal, so that we can continue our important work.
