News from 2014
We would like to congratulate the KickStart Class of 2014 for successfully completing the KickStart programme. This year London saw 102 candidates start the programme, 92 of those candidates successfully completed the three week programme which involved a one week pre-employment training and a two week work placement within the hospitality industry. This programme gives students the opportunity to consider a career in the hospitality industry.
A very unique helping of luxurious hospitality magic will be sprinkled over Larbert High School in Stenhousemuir.
On Wednesday 8th October the entire S3 year group will experience how it feels to be both a guest and a hospitality professional within a hotel. This truly eventful experience has been supported by Springboard in partnership with a number of leading hospitality organisations; Apex Hotels, Marriott Hotels, BaxterStorey Catering, Premier Inn and Compass Group.
Waiters gathered in London’s Hyde Park on Thursday 25th September to celebrate National Waiters Day. The brainchild of Fred Sirieix, General Manager, Galvin at Windows, London Hilton on Park Lane, over 300 waiters raced over the course, complete with trays, glasses and bottles of water with the aim of being crowned the ‘Fastest Waiter’ or ‘Fastest Waitress’.
Cross Channel cycle challenge has begun to raise vital funds for The Springboard Charity.
The Team Velo Cycle Challenge departed from The Pullman Hotel, London with cyclists aiming to reach Pullman Hotel, Paris within 2 days, in a bid to raise funds for The Springboard Charity.
