Fundraising as an Individual

Slider image

You don’t need a big team or event to make a difference – sometimes one passionate person is all it takes!

Make a difference – your way!

Whether you’re running a marathon, baking cupcakes, or just want to give back, fundraising for Springboard as an individual is a powerful way to support people into sustainable careers in hospitality, leisure, and tourism. Every pound you raise helps change lives.

Fundraising Ideas Just for You

Challenge Yourself

  • Run, walk, or cycle a set distance
  • Climb a hill or take on a fitness goal
  • Take on a sponsored “digital detox” or cold shower challenge

Host an Event

  • Bake sale, brunch, or supper club with friends
  • Movie night at home with donation entry
  • Virtual quiz or games night

Mark a Special Occasion

  • Birthday fundraiser (ask for donations instead of gifts)
  • Celebrate a personal milestone (anniversary, graduation)

Do Something Different

  • Wear fancy dress for a day
  • Learn a new skill and share progress online
  • Shave your head / dye your hair challenge

Getting Started is Easy

  1. Pick your fundraising idea
Choose something fun, achievable, and personal.
  2. Set up your fundraising page
We recommend JustGiving – just select Springboard Charity as your cause.
  3. Set a goal
A clear target helps motivate donors. Even £50 can make a real impact!
  4. Tell everyone
Share your page on social media, WhatsApp, email – and don’t be shy about updates!
  5. Celebrate your success
Tag us @Springboard_UK and we’ll cheer you on!

Top Tips to Raise More

  • Add a photo and personal story to your page
  • Make the first donation yourself to get things going
  • Say thank you publicly when someone donates
  • Post updates throughout your journey
  • Ask your employer about matched donations
