Have you been perfecting your baking skills during lockdown? Do you love a cup of Darjeeling? Have you just missed socialising? Why not host an afternoon tea party for The Springboard Charity?!
This Afternoon Tea Week, brew the perfect tea, top your scones with clotted cream and jam and cut the crusts off of your sandwiches, whilst raising money for young, vulnerable, under-privileged and unemployed people, who are currently relying on support from Springboard.
#AfternoonTeaWeek 10th – 16th August 2020
There are ideas and resources below to help you organise your afternoon tea, but the first step is to set up your JustGiving page
or simply make your donation/s via PayPal by clicking here!
The wonderful thing about afternoon tea is that it can be enjoyed outside in the sunshine, so why not take your afternoon tea party into the garden or even to a park, where social distancing is easier?
Looking for ideas of how to fundraise, take a look below:
- Donate some of the money you saved from Eat Out to Help Out when you enjoy an afternoon tea out Mon-Weds throughout August!
- Host a garden party with your family and friends, asking them to each make a donation to attend
- Sell cakes to your work colleagues, friends and neighbours
- Get sponsorship to deliver a surprise afternoon tea to people who are vulnerable or shielding, such as those living in residential care
- Host a street party or front garden party with your neighbours, whereby everybody bakes and/or makes a donation to Springboard
- Host a virtual afternoon tea party with your friends – each make your own afternoon tea and video call each other for a catch up, making a donation to Springboard – maybe even make it fancy dress (MadHatter’s tea party, anybody?!)
- Hold a competitive ‘bake off’ with your work colleagues or friends
