FAB is Springboard’s secondary schools education programme focussed on demonstrating the skills required for Front of House roles and inspiring students to consider careers in this area. The scheme offers a range of interactive resources which have been designed to support the core curriculum subjects as well as business studies.

The FAB Enterprise Game launched in 2018 at the Newquay Tourism Takeover Day, with 126 students participating. Following the game, students’ perceptions of running a bar on average saw a positive increase of 26% and students rated the activity at 8 out of 10 for enjoyment.Since then, the game has been tested with a further 115 students as well as being demonstrated to 20 careers advisors in the Plymouth area who raved about the game, keen for it to be rolled out to their students in the next academic year. We have also trained 4 ambassadors who have been able to deliver the game to schools over the past year.
