Industry apprenticeship provider, HIT Training, has today announced a new partnership with hospitality’s educational and skills development charity, The Springboard Charity.
The three-year partnership, which runs until March 2020, sees HIT Training become a Corporate Patron and Business Partner of the charity – uniting both businesses to focus on building the next generation of hospitality stars and help young adults carve out successful career paths.
As Corporate Patron and Business Partner of The Springboard Charity, HIT Training will be involved in the charity’s core career initiatives. These include the Ambassador programme (works to motivate and inspire potential new recruits to the industry); CareerScope (expert advice to help people make informed career choices); its Kickstart Programme (three weeks of training to learn the skills needed to enter the industry, along with a two-week placement); as well as supporting its fundraising events and activities.
Jill Whittaker, Managing Director of HIT Training, said: “Through our partnership we will be working in unison with The Springboard Charity to raise awareness of the viable career paths in hospitality and break the stigmas around working in the industry."
“Supporting businesses within the hospitality sector, so they can successfully implement apprenticeship programmes to train and upskill their staff, is something we are passionate about. The industry is burgeoning and there are rewarding career opportunities for young adults from all walks of life and, together with The Springboard Charity, we want to get this message out there.”
Anne Pierce, Chief Executive of The Springboard Charity, said: “We are committed to supporting young people, unemployed and those with barriers to work into sustainable employment within the hospitality, leisure and tourism sectors. We’re delighted to be working with HIT Training, the largest provider of hospitality apprenticeships, and our partnership reflects our trust that real quality will be delivered.”
