Regale has been a gold sponsor of Zest Quest Asia since it was first launched four years ago by Cyrus and Pervin Todiwala, in collaboration with the Master Chefs of Great Britain. Regale recognises that with its growing popularity and national scope, Zest Quest Asia is set to make a lasting impact on the knowledge and skills of full-time catering students, with British residency status, in Asian cuisine. In supporting programmes such as Zest Quest Asia and FutureChef they are contributing to the education of the future generation of chefs and securing UK talent for the benefit of the industry.

As a long-standing Ambassador of Springboard and a FutureChef judge, Cyrus has welcomed Regale’s donation to FutureChef, a programme designed to inspire 12-16 year old school children to cook.

He says, “It is important to expose our children to life skills such as cooking and to attract young people into the hospitality industry. By working in association with programmes such as Springboard’s FutureChef, Zest Quest Asia can contribute to, as well as benefit from, the affiliation to further expose budding chefs to Asian cuisine. Regale’s gesture of support for FutureChef at Zest Quest Asia’s gala dinner makes it abundantly clear that we are serious in our aim of promoting long-term careers in the Asian food sector and working together with other organisations for the benefit of the youth in our industry.”

Pat Bray, Managing Director, Regale Microwaves adds; “As a British company, we chose to support Zest Quest Asia because we also believe in nurturing young people in the UK. When I learned that Zest Quest Asia was working in association with Springboard’s FutureChef programme, I decided to make a gesture to demonstrate our continued support as we all have a responsibility to sustain the future of our industry.”

Dee Smith, Regional Director of Springboard who oversees FutureChef, said, “We are delighted and grateful for Regale’s donation at the Zest Quest Asia gala dinner and awards night. We’re also very excited to be associated with Zest Quest Asia, which has done fantastic things to raise the profile of Asian cooking. We foresee Zest Quest Asia tapping into FutureChef’s suite of learning resources, industry tasters and existing profile among colleges to further expose budding chefs to Asian cuisine.”
