Funds continue to pour in in support of the 32 Springboard trekkers who recently returned from Northern India having undertaken a demanding trek and community project.
Following a trek through the Tibet mountains, hospitality professionals set themselves the task of building an extra teaching area in a government secondary school. The group had to contend with pouring rain and fought against the elements to increase the capacity of the school and help to spread education throughout the local community.
“This challenge helped not only kids in the UK but also made a huge difference to 22 young lives in Little Tibet, so once again we thank everyone sincerely, without your support this would not have happened. The funds we raised will go towards helping 70 young people in the UK achieve roles in the hospitality sector during the next 12 months.”

The trekkers achieved what they set out to do – to improve the lives and reach of education in one of the poorest corners of the globe, and to raise important funds for charity’s work here in the UK. All the money raised goes towards Springboard’s, now in its 25th year, vital work to support young, the unemployed and those facing barriers to work into sustainable employment within the hospitality, leisure and tourism sector.
