Team Velo Challenge 2019

on .

Springboard’s cycling challenge is back once again in September 2019!

Team Velo Challenge is a group cycle in which teams of four traverse the 250 miles from London to Paris.

With challengers from across the UK hospitality industry, the Team Velo Challenge is a great opportunity to network with the other professionals from the sector, build unbreakable relationships within a team and raise money for The Springboard Charity.

The Team Velo Challenge is sponsored by Sky and Genuine Dining.

Between 26 September 2019 - 28 September 2019, cyclists will cover over 250 miles from London to Paris, all in aid of Springboard’s programmes and charitable work.

Starting in the UK capital, the challengers will make their way down to Portsmouth, before taking an overnight ferry to Caen. From there, cyclists will cycle down to Le Neubourg where they’ll be treated to a BBQ feast to replenish their strength – all courtesy of The Genuine Dining Co.

Finally, the challengers will cycle to the stunning city of Paris, for a prize ceremony under the glistening September sun and post-event party.

The Team Velo Challenge is a fantastic opportunity to network with fellow industry professionals and, as you enter as a team of four, build strong relationships within your business and with colleagues.

Whether you can sign up as an individual or as a team, we’ll give you lots of ideas of how to raise funds.

Your money goes directly to helping us increase the impact of Springboard’s Employability Programmes across the UK, which currently help over 1,000 people every year gain new personal and career skills and connect with hospitality employers for real-life work experience.

For example £2,000 will help 10 people gain two weeks’ work experience.

Why we're doing this?

All the money raised will go towards our KickStart programme, which helps school and college leavers to make well-informed decisions regarding their careers. KickStart (previously known as Summer School) has a proven track record in providing a structured transition from full time education into employment, apprenticeships and further or higher education within the field of hospitality, leisure or tourism.
