FutureChef, the national competition aimed at finding Britain’s next culinary star, has returned, culminating on the 12th March 2018 for the final at Westminster Kingsway College.
The competition is divided into rounds, with over 500 schools having participated from across the country, and over 10,000 students taking part. The competition is part of the FutureChef programme, which provides budding culinary talent with the training they need to start their careers within the industry.
Some famous alumni of the programme include Ruth Hansom of The Ritz, Samantha Rowles of Hobbs House Bakery, Connor Blades of The Frog and Max Alexander from The Savoy – all of whom have won the competition in the past. The competition also aims to recognise the schools, mentors and teachers the competitors.
The competitions are supported by a range of sponsors, including Hilton, The Savoy Educational Trust, Nestlé Professional, Sodexo, Hyatt Regency Churchill, Marriot, City and Guilds, The Dorchester, Radisson Blu, Westminster Kingsway College and more.
