The FutureChef Banquet on Bateaux London will be held on the 14th May 2019 at 7pm, thanks to our fantastic sponsors, Sodexo Prestige Venues and Events.
150 hospitality professionals will be welcomed aboard the vessel full of Parisian culture, brought to the River Thames all the way from the River Seine, for a spectacular evening of dining on the water. Surrounded by 360 degree views, you will meander past the pinnacles of London’s famous architecture while you luxuriate in canapés and a three-course meal; reinventing dining in style.
The experience offers you a completely unique chance to savour tantalising food from four of London’s finest chefs, in one sitting. Including:
Canapés by Restauranteur at Peyton & Byrne Ltd, Oliver Peyton.
Starter by The Culinary Director of The Stafford London, Ben Tish.
Main course by Chef at Michelin starred The Elephant, Simon Hulstone.
Dessert by Head Chef at the two-AA-rosette, Wernher Restaurant of Luton Hoo Hotel, and FutureChef alumni, Ruth Hansom.
Not only is this an opportunity to feast upon beautiful food while seeing London like never before, it’s also an opportunity to behold the imperative work of The Springboard Charity. Each of the four chefs above will be accompanied by an incredibly talented FutureChef alumni, meaning you can experience the fantastic work of our FutureChef Programme first hand while on board.
This opportunity to see London like never before, allowing the city’s finest sights to come to you, is also an opportunity to help those who need it. The evening raises funds to help address the industries skills shortage, by encouraging young students to choose a career in hospitality through Springboard’s FutureChef programme. As well as giving rise to further experience for hospitality students, whom with training and under supervision will be staffing the evening.
The occasion, hosted by Chef Brian Turner CBE will begin with a champagne reception before the vessel starts its voyage. Once traveling down the Thames you will enjoy a three-course dinner which will be complimented by live music and an auction. Followed by interviews from Brian with the chefs and beneficiaries to hear their stories. As well as time to take in the passing landmarks along the riverside as the sun sets and the stars appear, providing a chance to network and engage with likeminded people in the industry while dressed in your black tie finery.
