Double dose of blogging entertainment for you this week ladies and gents. As it was the Christmas holidays I thought I’d wrap up what I’ve been up to for the last two weeks in one post.

I’m not going to pretend I’ve been hard at it over the festive period but I did manage a few bits here and there including a very rainy run on Boxing Day, impressed? I certainly was. After a couple more days off I decided to start some proper trek training and went for a long walk over the Clent Hills near my parent's house in the Midlands (picture 1) and another long walk around Chorlton Water Park where I spent New Year’s Day in Manchester, with some altitude training advice from a couple of Paralympian’s!
To round off the last two weeks I popped along to a Psycle class on Saturday (picture 2) and took another run around Peckham Rye Park yesterday and didn’t manage to get lost this time.
Today is the start of my dedicated training programme. More on this next week but there will be a bit of help from the ladies at The Bridge Gym in Southwalk and A Balanced Life based in East London.
Food Glorious Food
And glorious it was. In amongst the cheese, turkey, Christmas pudding, Prosecco and a trip to Tredwell's (picture 3) Oh WOW … there were a few healthy-ish treats.
For New Year’s Eve I whipped up a Beetroot, Goats Cheese and toasted walnut salad, similar here. But to match my new training programme I spent yesterday afternoon making this pretty tasty detox soup. (picture 4)
